My latest watercolor painting! I love sailboats, they are just so pretty and majestic, especially out on the harbor in front of the setting sunset! This painting was a break from my birds and cars and a step into more landscape-based pieces. It was a good change-up, and the vibrant colors of the sunset were really fun to capture.

Delicious chocolate cupcake! This watercolor painting is one I designed specifically for my birthday cupcake greeting card set. I will be creating more birthday-themed cards in the near future, and will be offering them on my Etsy shop. I left the cards blank inside to give the freedom to write whatever the individual wishes!

Vibrant, colorful hummingbird! I focused a lot on the detail portion f this painting. I really wanted to capture its feathering! Hummingbirds are full of so much life, color, and intensity for such a tiny animal! This one was also painted in watercolors and is available in my Etsy shop :)

Recently, I have been in the process of creating some cute, fun little greeting cards! This sweet pink cupcake is one of three cupcake designs I have painted. They are available and sold in a set included with envelopes! In addition to my cupcake greeting card set, I also have more festive ones (Autumn as of right now, but I am working on some Christmas designs!), more birthday ones, and just-because cards. I have them up and ready for purchase in my Etsy shop. So if you are looking for some unique, hand-drawn greeting cards go check them out at:

Here is another bird I have recently painted. It is one of my more detailed watercolors. Although I love the simplicity watercolor can bring, I also enjoy adding lots of detail to feathers, eyes, and backgrounds as well! As you can tell, this painting is more structured than the last watercolor bird I posted. By this, I mean that I was more controlling over where I wanted the colors to go. This painting relies a lot on layers, letting the art dry every two-three applications and then re-working back in with more dark, contrasted colors. It involved a lot of buildup, whereas the song-bird painting posted below was all about letting the watercolor be free! I enjoy both types of technique when it comes to watercolor, precisely due to the fact that each can produce a completely different feel and look than the other. More like this here are listed in my updated Etsy shop, take a gander at my selection of artwork! I'd truly appreciate it:

It's been quite a while since I have added any of my paintings to my blog! But, 8 months later...I'm back to post some of my latest watercolor paintings!

This one here is a simple song-bird watercolor piece. I approached this bird picture with a different technique than I usually use. Instead of focusing so much on details of the feathers, eyes, etc., I spent more effort on keeping it subtle and soft. I let the watercolors do its thing and blend with each other.

In addition to many new paintings, I also have updated my Etsy shop from the last time I posted. This painting and many more birds can be found there to purchase! To access my Etsy shop, you may click the banner on the right side of the page, or click the link below!:
